YMCA Spin Classes Paint the Town Pink

People taking a morning spin class at the Southside YMCA Monday are doing more than just getting a workout.

They’re helping to raise money and awareness for part of St. Joseph’s/Candler’s paint the town pink promotion.

Instructors talked to their classes about the importance of breast self exams and risk factors.

“We started promoting it a couple of weeks ago and we had a wonderful turnout for people who like taking spin anyway, this is a great way to give back to the community and go for a good cause and get to take a spin class and be active at the same time,” explains Amber Meeks, program director at the Southside YMCA.

For a $25, those in class got a t-shirt and water bottle.

The YMCA’s of Coastal Georgia will all be hosting Paint the Town Pink spin classes tonight (Monday) at 7:30, so get your gym clothes on and get going!
