Tuquyen Mach is happy to be back in her home state of Georgia and here in the beautiful Coastal Empire.
Tuquyen was born and raised in Gainesville, Georgia, and discovered her passion for journalism at age 12. While studying at the University of Georgia, Tuquyen worked on the news staff for the school's radio station, WUOG, and anchored and produced for the student-run cable TV newscast. She graduated from UGA with a degree in Broadcast News and a 4.0 GPA.
Tuquyen comes to WSAV from the beaches of Panama City, Florida, where she worked as weekend anchor, producer, and reporter at WMBB. While at WMBB, Tuquyen won 1st Place for Best Investigative Reporting from the Florida Associated Press Broadcasters. Her reporting from the high-profile manslaughter trial of eight boot camp guards also helped earn the station 1st Place for Best Continuing Coverage. Tuquyen also has awards from the Society of Professional Journalists in Florida for general assignment reporting and investigative reporting.
Tuquyen is a member of the Asian American Journalists Association and volunteers with the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life. In her spare time, Tuquyen enjoys spending time with her family and friends, watching UGA football, and traveling.
