WASHINGTON (AP) — The Obama administration launched investigations of hundreds of businesses around the country Wednesday as part of its strategy to focus immigration enforcement on the employers who hire illegal workers.

The Senate killed a bill on a 22-22 vote that would have required new Georgia drivers to take their written drivers test in English.

Teenage drivers, be warned: Texting and talking while driving could soon be off-limits in Georgia.
