With instant access to information at our fingertips, it’s hard for many of us to imagine life without the comforts of a computer. From shopping… to banking… to school work… almost everything can be done online. But for a number of folks, it’s a convenience they simply can’t afford. News 3’s Kim Gusby tells us how one local program is closing the digital divide and helping the environment by refurbishing old computers and -giving them away- to folks who need them.

The push for Recycling in Chatham County
The City of Savannah says so far its curbside recycling program is a success. Last month they collected close to five hundred tons of recyclables.
Some other cities like Port Wentworth have followed suit but for some reason the county has not.
Now the same group who made curbside recycling a reality in Savannah is hoping to do the same in the county.
“3 On Your Side” Community Reporter Alice Massimi spoke with the group about their effort.
