Dear Friends, Once again this year The Salvation Army is privileged to be able to partner with WSAV in the Holiday Hope Program. It is through generous partnerships like this that The Salvation Army is able to provide to those less fortunate in our community. This year more people are facing rough economic times and there are so many more that need help. Last year we assisted 1,896 families at Christmas. 12,453 toys were given to children, 4,900 gift packs given to nursing homes and shut-ins. In total 11,418 individuals were served. Your help is needed more than ever this year. It is with your help that The Salvation Army continues "Doing the Most Good" for the needy of our community. You can be a part of an "Army" that can make a difference by donating toys to the Holiday Hope Program or donating at one of our many Red Kettles in our community. Make your Holiday Hope purchase online at Walmart.com and have your order shipped Site to Store (which means there will be no shipping fees). If you are not able or willing to pick up the items you can designate an individual from the Salvation Army to pick them up. To do so you will need to have the name and the email address of the person that will be picking up the items. The person picking up the items will be sent an email confirmation when the item has arrived at the store. The pick up person will need to bring a copy of the email and proof of ID with them to pick the items. Please note not all items can be shipped Site to Store, however some items only have $0.99 shipping fee so you may want to ship directly to the Salvation Army. |
