Ga. Southern steamrolls Citadel

STATESBORO, Ga. (AP) - Louis Graham scored 23 points and Matthew

Fields had a double-double to lead Georgia Southern to an easy

98-68 win over The Citadel tonight in Statesboro.

The Eagles (20-8, 13-5 Southern Conference) took a 46-19 lead

with 4:55 left in the first half on a basket by Krzysztof

Janiszewski. Johntavious Rucker hit a 3-pointer as time expired to

put them ahead 52-25 at halftime.

The Citadel (6-20, 1-16) cut the lead to 52-29 in the first

minute of the second half, but could come no closer. Georgia

Southern pushed its advantage to 88-51 with five minutes left on a

Jared Collins shot.

Fields scored 11 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for the Eagles.

Julian Allen had 10 points.

Cameron Wells led The Citadel with 20 points. Zach Urbanus had

15 and eight rebounds, while Austin Dahn scored 13. The Citadel

also had 15 turnovers.
