Calvary-Savannah Country Day Clash on the Friday Night Blitz

Calvary and Savannah Country Day renew their annual rivalry this Friday night at Calvary Day School.  Each school coming in with identical records, 3-2 overall and 1-0 in Region 3A-A.

The Hornets were beaten by the Cavs last season 26-20 in a classic battle that went down to the final seconds.  This season the Hornets enter the game having won 3 straight after a tough 0-2 start.

Calvary is fresh off a comeback win for the ages over Bryan County.  The Cavs trailed 21-0 with 8:30 left in the 4th quarter… and proceeded to score 24 straight to stun the Redskins.

Notes: Mike Carswell, Hornets’ head coach in 2008, will face his former team as an assistant at Calvary.  Dennis Coyle is the new head coach at Savannah Country Day.
