Reddick Fitting Nicely into his “Red-Sox”

Former South Effingham star baseball player Josh Reddick enjoyed a successful opening weekend in the Major Leagues.

Former South Effingham Mustangs baseball player Josh Reddick made his Major League Debut with the Boston Red Sox Friday evening against the Baltimore Orioles.  He grounded out as a pinch hitter.

Things got a whole lot better Saturday night as the 2005 South Effingham grad hit two doubles.  Sunday afternoon he broke loose with his first MLB home run.  Reddick cleared the left-centerfield fence at Camden Yards.  He followed up with a run-scoring single to finish the game 2-6 with 2 rbi’s and 2 runs scored.

The Red Sox won 18-10 Sunday.  Reddick is 4-11 overall with a .364 average.
