Ryan Wilson Wins Bob White Invitational

Wilson fires final-round 70 to win the Savannah golf tournament.

Savannah Christian and Armstrong Atlantic State University graduate Ryan Wilson captured the 2009 Bob White Invitational golf tournament at LaVida Country Club in the Windsor Forest neighborhood in Savannah.  Wilson fired a final-round 70 to win the two-round event at 8-under-par.

White edged out Carter Collins by two strokes.  Carter was within one stroke but finished the day with a 3-under-69.  2008 champ Dr. Doug Hanzel also fired a final-round 69 to finish at 4-under-par.

2008 Savannah City Amateur champion Will Smith captured fourth place at 3-under-par.

The Skeadas Cup, given annually to the top points winner, moves to Crosswinds Golf Club this week in the 2009 Savannah Match Play tournament.
