Persistent onshore winds and astronomical factors will produce yet another elevated high tide this evening across the southern South Carolina and southeast Georgia coasts. Tide levels are expected to reach up to 9.3 to 9.4 ft mean lower low water at Fort Pulaski near Savannah

In southeast South Carolina… parts of Palmetto Boulevard on Edisto Beach and near the campgrounds on Hunting Island may also experience minor flooding.

in southeast Georgia the shallow salt water flooding will result in some minor coastal flooding. Some locations that will be impacted include… Beach Road on Sapelo Island may become flooded… and water may cover parts of route 80 between Savannah and Tybee Island.

A coastal flood advisory indicates that winds and tides will combine to generate some salt water flooding of low-lying areas near the coast. Shallow coastal flooding begins along the northern georgia coast when tides reach 9.2 feet mean lower low water at Fort Pulaski.
