Tornado Warning for Cofee and Jeff Davis county / Thunderstorm Warning for Appling county

A tornado warning is now in effect until 2:00 pm for northern Jeff Davis county.
In addition: a tornado warning is in effect for western Coffee county until 2:15 pm.

A doppler indicated tornado has been indicated by doppler radar at 1:23 pm.
The storm is 8 miles west of Hazlehurst… moving east at 45 mph.

In addition to a possible tornado… the storm is capable of producing
penny size hail and destructive straight line winds.

Take cover immediately if you are in the path of this storm.

In addition… a severe thunderstorm warning is in effect for northern Appling
county until 2:30pm. Nicle size hail and damaging winds in excess of 60 mph
are possible.
