We live in Levy, at the Hardeevlle RV park. Lots of us staying here heard the explosion tonight and most of us felt our RV's rocked by the blast.

I live on Clifton Drive in Pt Wentworth and was on the phone with my mother in NC when the explosion occurred. I was standing in front of my back patio door when there was a loud explosion and the whole house shook. From my vantage point in my backyard, the fireball appeared to be approximately 200 ft. and there were large flames visibly licking through the smoke for awhile. The fire appears to be under control as of now.

Dear News Team,
I live in Bluffton South Carolina. When this explosion occurred my husband and I both thought that we heard thunder and our house shook with great intensity. We later found out that it was the explosion that we felt and heard. Just thought that you may be interested in knowing the power behind this devastating accident.
Sincerely,
Elizabeth Nash

I heard the explosion of the Sugar Refinery hear on Lady's Island in Beaufort as well. I thought it was a thunder strom in the distance or a jet from MCAS Beaufort.
We heard a thunder like sound that shook the house and windows after 7 PM tonight. We would now assume that it was the fire blast from the sugar refinery. – Bluffton
We live out here on the eastside on Oatland Island and wanted to let you know we heard and felt the explosion out here.
Dear WSAV,
I was sittiing in my living room in Bluffton, SC at around 7:20 pm and I heard a loud boom and rumble. I assumed it was thunder, but wondered a little later why I only heard it once.
