Judge Signs Execution Order for Troy Davis

»  Comments | Post a Comment

Judge Freesemann has signed the execution order for Troy Anthony Davis, the man convicted of killing former Savannah police officer Mark MacPhail in 1989.

The execution has been set for October 27th.

The order comes after the U.S. Supreme Court granted Davis a stay in September and then decided earlier this week not to hear his case.

40-year old Davis is on death row at a prison in Jackson, Georgia.
