Savannah, GA: A hearing that was scheduled for today in regards to the Occupational Safety and Health Administration's attempt to fine Imperial Sugar $8.8 Million dollars, has been delayed.
A spokesperson for OSHA says the judge has issued a continuance.
The fines stem from an explosion at the Port Wentworth Plant that killed 14 people and injured several others.
OSHA issued 124 citations at the Port Wentworth Facility and 97 at the company's Gramercy, LA plant.
Imperial is appealing the fines to the independent Occupational Safety and Health Reciew Commission.
