USCB Festival Series showcases chamber music

Beaufort, SC -The University of South Carolina Beaufort Festival Series, directed by Edward Arron, will be showcasing performances of prize-winning musicians at the USCB Center for the Arts on December 11th at 5pm. 

Center stage will be John Novacek at the nine-foot Steinway concert grand.  He will be joined by three other artists for Shostakovich's Opus 127 and four shorter pieces by Robert Schumann.

Other performers for this event include vocalist Hyunah Yu, violinist Jesse Mills, and Artistic Director & cellist Edward Arron. 

The 2011-2012 season marks Arron's ninth season as the artistic coordinator of the Metropolitan Museum Artists in Concert, a chamber ensemble created in 2003 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Museum's Concerts and Lectures series. 

Ticket prices for this event start at $40 and can be purchased in advance through Staci Breton at 843-208-8246.  Tickets can also be obtained the evening of the event at the USCB Center for the Arts, located on Carteret Street in Historic Downtown Beaufort.
