Richt Suspends More Players

ATHENS, Ga. (AP) - Georgia's long list of players suspended or dismissed from the team by coach Mark Richt continues to grow.

Only hours before the team's first practice, Richt said Monday junior linebacker Darius Dewberry has been suspended for the first two games of the season. Richt said Dewberry acknowledged he caused damage to property at St. Mary's Hospital in Athens this weekend.

On Saturday night, Richt announced the indefinite suspensions of two players - snapper Jeff Henson, following his second alcohol-related arrest, and safety Donavon Baldwin, who was injured in a fight in Athens early Saturday.

Eight players have been arrested this offseason. Dewberry is the sixth player to be suspended or dismissed from the team, and Richt said he's concerned about the team's focus and the damage to the team's reputation.
