Graham scored 25 to lead Eagles past Elon
STATESBORO, Ga. (AP) - Louis Graham scored 25 points and grabbed
eleven rebounds and Matthew Fields also had a double-double to lead
Georgia Southern to a 59-44 win over Elon tonight.
The Eagles (19-8, 12-5 Southern Conference) went on a 10-0 run
late in the first half, building a 26-13 lead. Six points were
scored off free throws, while Fields made a layup and Anthony
Marshall finished the run with a jumper.
Fields scored 14 points and grabbed 12 rebounds and Marshall
added 12 for the Eagles.
Georgia Southern got its biggest lead at 50-31 with 7:41 left in
the second half on a jumper by Julian Allen. The Phoenix (10-16,
8-10) would pull no closer than 12 points.
Montell Watson led Elon with 14 points.
