DELAND, Fla. (AP) - Savannah State's Chris Linton hit a 3-point shot from 26 feet to beat the buzzer and Stetson 63-60 in overtime tonight.

Linton, who led Savannah State with 13 points, stole the ball from Stetson's Eric Diaz with just a few seconds remaining and the score tied at 60. Linton advanced the ball before firing up a shot that went in off the backboard as time expired.

Anthony Jones added 12 points for Savannah State (13-17), which also got 10 points from Curtis Brown.

Stetson (13-15) was led by A.J. Smith, who scored 18 points before an ankle injury sent him to the bench with two minutes left in regulation. Kris Thomas added 10 points for the Hatters.

Savannah State's Lazarius Coleman forced the overtime when he converted the second of two free throws with 27 seconds left to tie it at 56.

Stetson led 58-56 after Brandon Williams made two free throws 26 seconds into overtime. But Brown's 3-pointer put the Tigers ahead 59-58 with 4:01 to play and a free throw by Jones made it 60-58 with 3:16 on the clock.

Stetson, which made just two baskets in the last nine minutes of regulation, got its only bucket of OT when Diaz made a turnaround jumper with 43 seconds remaining to tie it at 60.

Savannah State won for the first time in the series and snapped a five-game losing streak to Stetson.
