The first of a series of improvements to Historic Grayson Stadium has been completed. Tifton Turf, of Tifton, GA., has finished work on the new playing surface for the old ballpark. The City of Savannah removed the old surface after last season. Tifton completed the project by installing a new irrigation and drainage system and rebuilding the field from the ground up. Grayson will also be getting new light poles, new offices, and a new weight training and indoor batting cage before the Sand Gnats open their season in April.
