Prep Star's College Plans Change

»  Comments | Post a Comment

Will Franklin Green be wearing a Georgia Southern Eagles' uniform next season?  That's not entirely clear, but it looks like Green won't be playing for Florida as originally planned.  The Atlanta Journal Constitution reports that a potential academic issue will prevent the Jenkins star running back, who was named Savannah-Chatham's top player two years in a row, from signing with the Gators in February.  The AJC quotes Green as saying that he will enroll at Georgia Southern. "I like the coaches there and I think we can win a national championship," he is quoted as saying.  Green's high school coach, Tim Adams, confirmed that Green has visted Statesboro recently.  Another source tells WSAV that Green is considering GSU, but hasn't entirely made up his mind yet.
