The St. Louis Cardinals will put ace pitcher Adam Wainwright on the 15-day disabled list tomorrow.
The right-hander injured his right middle finger while pitching in Houston on Saturday. A followup exam today revealed a sprain, but it wasn't immediately clear how many starts Wainwright would miss.
Wainwright is 6-3 with a 3.14 ERA this season.
