A sad day for Bulldog nation. Uga VI died last night of a heart attack.
The white English Bulldog would have turned 10 years old in July.
He was supposed to continue serving as the official University of Georgia mascot this coming football season.
Uga VI's owners - the Seiler family of Savannah - tell NEWS 3 a burial is planned in Sanford Stadium at the University of Georgia on Monday. As for his successor -- Swann Seiler says they have an heir ready to take over, but are still planning that announcement. "Our hearts are heavy today. This was unexpected," she told NEWS 3.
