Four times in five seasons the South Effingham baseball team has lost in the AAA state semifinals. For the second time it's at the hands of Cartersville.
Monday night the Mustangs dropped the second game of a doubleheader 13-0. South Effingham lost the opener earlier in the day 8-4.
Cartersville will face the winner of the Carrollton-Stephens County series which will be determined Tuesday evening after the deciding game-3.
