He played on special teams during the AFC Championship game, but Pittsburgh Steelers' Nick Eason first represented the Coastal Empire.
Eason is native of Lyons, GA - and the first Toombs County High School Bulldog to play in the Superbowl. Travares Tillman, another former TCHS Bulldog, was on the roster of the Carolina Panthers in 2003. However, he did not dress out for Super XXXVIII which was won by New England 32-29.
Eason was on the field on Sunday on special teams and he played some on the defensive line and he was credited with a tackle in the second quarter after a three-yard gain by Willis McGahee.
Nicholas Eason was born in Lyons, Georgia on May 29, 1980. After graduating from Toombs County High, Eason attend Clemson University, where he majored in Sociology. He was drafted by the Denver Broncos in the fourth round of the 2003 NFL Draft and made his NFL debut in 2004 with the Cleveland Browns.
