An eastern Georgia high school football coach has been named the national Coach of the Year.
The National High School Coaches Association is recognizing Jeremy Williams for his work at Greenville High School.
The coach led Greenville High to an undefeated regular season last year with 10 wins and a playoff victory. It was the most wins for the high school since 1992.
Williams suffers from Lou Gehrig's disease, and his son was born with spina bifida and is confined to a wheelchair. Williams and his family were recently the recipients of a brand-new home thanks to the ABC television series "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition."
The association also gives out Coach of the Year awards to baseball, softball and volleyball coaches from across the country each year.
