Savannah native Hollis Stacy has received the selection in the Veterans Category for the World Golf Hall of Fame.  She'll enter the "Hall" on May 7, 2012 along with PGA Tour veteran Phil Mickelson.

Stacy was born in Savannah in 1954.  In 1969 she became the youngest player to win the U.S. Junior Girls Championship.  Stacy went on to have an illustrious career on the LPGA Tour.

For the past 19 years the Hollis Stacy Award has been given out to the Most Outstanding Female Athlete in Savannah-Chatham.
