An estimated 600 people came out to help celebrate Savannah's first GHSA State Football Championship in 42 years.

The Savannah Christian Raiders won the Class A State Title December 10, 2011 at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta. Tonight was a chance to celebrate the major accomplishment. The last time a GHSA title came to Savannah was Country Day winning it in 1969.
Also being honored were seniors' DeAngelo Brown (Louisville Cardinals) and Nardo Govan (Georgia Southern Eagles) signing their letters-of-intent in front of family, friends and fans.
