Johnson High School's Tim Quarterman bounced the ball off the wall and slam-dunked it home in the opening-round of the Savannah Holiday Classic slam-dunk contest. It brought the crowd to its' feet and helped Quarterman advance to the finals.

But Quarterman didn't have as much magic in the finals as Salem High's Derick Turner. He produced a round-about dunk and finished it off with authority to capture the 2011 title.
Groves High School senior Ashley Wright captured the girls' 3-point shootout title and Rashaad Spann took home the trophy on the boys' side.
Schedule for Monday's championship games (all at Johnson High School):
Girls: Groves vs. Gainesville 4 pm
Boys: Windsor Forest vs. Richmond Hill 5:30 pm
Girls: Statesboro vs. Alcovy 7 pm
