A warm front is draped over the area. As it begins to lift to the north this evening and tonight, strong thunderstorms should develop across southern Georgia. These storms could produce large hail, damaging winds, and isolated tornadoes.
The safest place to be during a tornado is in a basement. If you do not have a basement, you should get into an interior room, such as a closet or a bathroom, on the lowest level of your house. Stay away from windows.
