Thunderstorm Warning for Bryan, Chatham, Liberty, and McIntosh Counties

A severe thunderstorm warning is in effect for southeastern Bryan, south central Chatham, southeastern Liberty, northeastern McIntosh Counties until 5:45 pm.

A severe thunderstorm warning is in effect for southeastern Bryan, south central Chatham, southeastern Liberty, northeastern McIntosh Counties until 5:45 pm.

At 4:42 pm national weather service doppler radar indicated a line of severe thunderstorms capable of producing nickel size hail...and destructive winds in excess of 70 mph. These storms were located along a line extending from Riceboro to 15 miles west of Crescent...or along a line extending from 10 miles northeast of Tibet to 9 miles south of Tibet...moving east at 35 mph.

A tornado watch is also in effect. Severe thunderstorms can produce tornadoes suddenly...sometimes with little or no warning. If you see or hear a tornado...move quickly to an interior room in a sturdy structure.
