Thunderstorm Warning for Chatham, Effingham, Liberty and Bryan Counties

A severe thunderstorm warning is in effect for central Bryan, west central Chatham, extreme south central Effingham, and central Liberty Counties until 5:00 pm.

A severe thunderstorm warning is in effect for central Bryan, west central Chatham, extreme south central Effingham, and central Liberty Counties until 5:00 pm.

At 4:06 pm national weather service doppler radar indicated a line of severe thunderstorms capable of producing damaging winds in excess of 60 mph. These storms were located along a line extending from 11 miles southwest of Ellabell to Hinesville...or along a line extending from 8 miles south of Pembroke to Hinesville...moving east at 45 mph.

Doppler radar has indicated weak rotation within this storm. If the rotation strengthens...a tornado warning may be issued.
