Flash Flood Warning for Extreme Southeast Colleton County until 945 This Morning

» 0 Comments | Post a Comment

The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood warning for...

extreme southeastern Colleton county in southeast South Carolina...

until 945 am est

At 651 am est... National Weather Service doppler radar indicated very heavy rain occurring along a line extending from Archdale to 14 miles south of Seabrook Island... or along a line extending from Archdale to 11 miles southeast of Edisto Beach... moving northeast at 25 mph.

Rainfall amounts of 2 to 4 inches combined with high tides and backed up tidal drainage areas will enhance the flooding this morning.

Flooding is especially likely in low-lying coastal areas where the high tide will inhibit runoff of heavy rain.
