The Freeze Watch has been upgraded to a Freeze Warning.
A Freeze Warning is in effect from 2a.m. to 9a.m. Friday.
This Freeze Warning is in effect for the following counties: Candler, Bulloch, Effingham, Tattnall, Evans and inland Jasper.
This includes the cities of Metter, Statesboro, Springfield, Reidsville, Claxton and Ridgeland.
A cold air mass will continue to build over the region tonight. Temperatures will drop to around freezing for several hours. The main area of concern is along and west of a line from approximately Tarboro to Springfield, then Claxton to Reidsville.
