Many Rivers Across Southeast Georgia Continue to be Above Flood Stage

The following river flood information was provided in data from the National Weather Service.

The flood warning continues for the Ogeechee River near Midville until further notice. At 11 am friday the stage was 6.1 feet. Flood stage is 6 feet. Minor flooding is occurring. Forecast... rise to 7.0 feet early Monday morning... then fall. At 6.0 feet... the access road into the river bluff in Midville begins to flood. The lower portion of Johnson Road near Herndon also becomes covered.

The flood warning continues for the Ogeechee River near Eden until further notice. At 10 am Friday the stage was 11.4 feet. Flood stage is 9 feet. Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast. Forecast... rise to 12.5 feet early Wednesday morning. At 12.0 feet... the bottom floor of several homes at Morgans Bridge begin to flood. The boat ramp and campground along Dashers Landing Road near Eden are impacted.

The flood warning continues for the Ohoopee River near Reidsville until further notice. At 11 am Friday the stage was 17.0 feet. Flood stage is 11 feet. Moderate flooding is occurring. Forecast... rise to 17.1 feet this afternoon. At 17.5 feet... water enters the ground level of homes in the Joy Bluff Community. The access road becomes covered with water.

The flood warning continues for the Savannah River at Burtons Ferry until further notice. At 11 am Friday the stage was 17.1 feet. Flood stage is 15 feet. Minor flooding is occurring. Forecast... rise to 17.3 feet early Tuesday afternoon. At 18.2 feet... the picnic area at Stoney Bluff Landing becomes flooded. Access to the house at the end of Stoney Bluff Landing Road is limited.

The flood warning continues for the Savannah River near Clyo until further notice. At 10 am Friday the stage was 16.1 feet. Flood stage is 11 feet. Moderate flooding is occurring. Forecast... remain around 16.1 feet. At 14.5 feet... the bottom floor of several riverfront homes along tom Goethe Road begins to flood.

The flood warning continues for the Canoochee River near Claxton until Wednesday afternoon. At 10 am Friday the stage was 11.8 feet. Flood stage is 11 feet. Minor flooding is occurring. Forecast... fall below flood stage early Wednesday morning. At 13.5 feet... the main access road into Canoochee properties... Hillside Road... becomes flooded.
