A freeze watch is in effect for Effingham, Tattnall, Evans, inland Bryan, inland Chatham, Long, inland Liberty, inland McIntosh, Coffee, Jeff Davis, Bacon, Appling, Wayne, Atkinson, Ware, Pierce, and Brantley Counties in southeastern Georgia as well as for Jasper, Beaufort, coastal Colleton, and Charleston Counties in South Carolina from late Sunday night through Monday morning.
High pressure will provide clear skies and diminishing winds Sunday night. This could allow temperatures to fall into the upper 20s to lower 30s for a few hours at many locations away from the immediate coast late Sunday night into early Monday morning.
Frost could also develop at many locations away from the immediate coast.
A freeze watch means sub-freezing temperatures are possible. These conditions could kill crops and other sensitive vegetation.
