A FREEZE WARNING in effect from 1a.m. to 9a.m. Tuesday for the following counties: coastal Bryan, coastal Chatham, coastal Liberty, McIntosh, Beaufort, coastal Colleton and coastal Jasper.
High pressure will provide clear skies and diminishing winds across the region tonight. This will result in freezing temperatures across much of south coastal South Carolina and southeast Georgia.
Temperatures at or below freezing are possible for up to 3 hours tonight into Tuesday morning...even near the immediate coast.
In addition to the freezing temperatures, patchy to scattered frost could develop. This is especially true for some of the more sheltered locations where winds will be lightest.
A Freeze Warning means sub-freezing temperatures are imminent or highly likely. These conditions will kill sensitive vegetation. Also, please let the pets sleep inside tonight. It's too cold outside!
