It's getting cold again tonight. But know this...it will warm up...slightly.
For tonight, we will begin with mostly clear skies. It's then overnight that clouds will begin to increase from the west/southwest. Look for inland areas to drop to lows in the upper 20s to the mid 30s. If you live along the coast, you'll see milder overnight lows in the lower 40s.
The National Weather Service in Jacksonville has issued a FROST ADVISORY for the following counties: Jeff Davis, Bacon, Appling, Wayne, Ware & Pierce. This is in effect from 1a.m. to 7a.m. Wednesday. Overnight lows tonight will be a few degrees warmer than last night. However, due to lighter winds and a bit more low-level moisture, widespread frost is expected across much of southeast Georgia. Protect the plants and pets!
On Wednesday, clouds will increase as skies become mostly cloudy. It will also warm up slightly with highs in the mid to upper 50s.
It's on Wednesday night that rain chances will return. It will stay much milder with lows in the 40s.
Unfortunately, the best chance of rain will happen on Thursday for New Year's Eve. If you're planning to spend any time outdoors to ring in the festivities, plan on at least a few rain drops. Stay tuned for the very latest from STORM TEAM 3.
Stay warm and keep looking up!
