A tornado touched down just north of Oklahoma City Tuesday afternoon.
Helicopter pilot Jim Gardner of NBC affiliate KFOR was able to follow the storm for several minutes as it threw debris skyward.
The tornado was part of a powerful line of storms that pushed through the area.
Several buildings were damaged and rescue crews helped several people trapped in their cars by downed power lines.
Several minor injuries were reported.
