Early AM Showers and Thunderstorms... then Building Heat and Humidity

Look for a weather pattern that brings high heat and humidity for the coastal empire and low country today through the Father's day weekend.
A heat advisory is in effect later today and will likely be in effect through the next few days as well. Here is a look at the weather forecast.

Today: Early AM showers and thunderstorms... then a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms this afternoon. Hot and humid with highs in the mid to upper 90s inland... around 90 on the islands. Heat index values as high as 105 to 107. Winds WSW becoming SSE at 4-8 mph.

Tonight: Isolated thunderstorms early... otherwise mostly clear. Lows in the low to mid 70s. Winds light southerly.

Friday: Sunny... very hot and humid. Highs around 100 inland... with low 90s on the coast. Heat index values as high as 108 in the afternoon.

Friday Night: Mostly clear... warm and humid. Lows in the mid to upper 70s.

Saturday: Sunny and hot, with a high near 102. West wind between 7 and 15 mph.
