The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for...

northwestern Bulloch county
Jenkins county
Screven county
Allendale county
northern Hampton county

until 330 am edt

At 232 am edt...National Weather Service doppler radar indicated a line of severe thunderstorms capable of producing damaging winds in excess of 60 mph. These storms were located along a line extending from 18 miles north of Millett to 7 miles north of Herndon...or along a line extending from 7 miles northwest of Barnwell to 15 miles northwest of Millen...moving southeast at 35 mph.

Some locations in or near the path of the storm include...
Herndon... Perkins... Butts... Millett... Martin... Millhaven...

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Excessive lightning is occurring with this thunderstorm. Stay away from windows and plumbing. Electrical appliances should be unplugged until the thunderstorm is no longer a threat.
