The winter weather advisory for snow for Jenkins and Screven Counties in Georgia; and for Allendale, Hampton, inland Colleton, Dorchester, and Berkelwhich Counties in South Carolina from 10 PM this evening to 9 AM Monday has been cancelled.
The risk for accumulating snow has diminished across the previously warned area. Some scattered snow showers could still impact the region later tonight, but no widespread travel problems are expected at this time.
Temperatures are still expected to drop to around freezing tonight. Be careful if you plan to travel late tonight or as you are heading out in the morning as some patches of ice could form. Bridges are especially prone to icing before the main roads. You may need to give yourself a little extra time to get where you need to be safely in the morning.
