A dense fog advisory is in effect for the following Georgia counties: Jenkins, Screven, Candler, Bulloch, Effingham, Tattnall, Evans, Bryan, Chatham, Long, Liberty, Glynn, and McIntosh and in the following South Carolina counties: Allendale, Hampton, Colleton, Dorchester, Berkeley, Jasper, Beaufort, and Charleston from midnight Saturday to 11 am Sunday.
A cool, damp airmass will create areas of dense fog across southern South Carolina and southeast Georgia overnight. Areas of dense fog will reduce visibility to one quarter mile or less after midnight. Dense fog will persist until late Sunday morning, and then visibility will improve around midday Sunday.
A dense fog advisory means visibilities will frequently be reduced to less than one quarter mile. If driving; slow down, use your low beam headlights, and leave plenty of distance ahead of you in case a sudden stop is needed.
