For today and tonight, there is a moderate risk for rip currents. This elevated risk of rip currents will exist mid to late week in association with onshore flow and persistent swells.
Also, a strong cold front will track into the southeast United States Saturday then move through southern South Carolina and SE Georgia Saturday night. This may result in a round of severe thunderstorms across the South Carolina and Georgia Low Country with damaging winds and large hail to be the main hazards.
