A severe thunderstorm warning is in effect for Montgomery, eastern Telfair, southeastern Wheeler, and Toombs county until 4:30 pm.
At 3:47 pm national weather service doppler radar indicated a severe thunderstorm capable of producing penny sized hail and damaging winds up to 60 mph. This storm was located near lumber city and is moving northeast at 50 mph.
A tornado watch remains in effect until 8:00 pm saturday evening.
