With strong high pressure to the north and low pressure developing
to the south... a tight pressure gradient is sandblasting the coast
of Georgia this morning.
I went out to Tybee Island to see how bad it was. I shot video which
is in the box above... check it out to see what I experienced.
There is moderate beach erosion taking place with the very strong
north/northeast winds I would estimate sustained in the mid 20s
with frequent gusts into the mid 30s or higher.
Surf is very rough with breakers at times running 4-5 feet.
Dangerous rip currents will continue to be a significant problem.
