If you are seeing sunshine today, please consider yourself lucky because this isn't the case for all. Scattered showers and thunderstorms are out there over parts of the Coastal Empire and Lowcountry.
Some of the rainfall will be heavy at times. Where rain does fall, amounts will generally range from a few hundredths of an inch to one inch in about an hours time. Locally even higher amounts will be possible.
For tonight, expect a chance of rain showers. We will see mostly cloudy skies with possible patchy fog and lows in the upper 60s to the lower 70s.
On Tuesday, skies will stay mostly cloudy, and there will be a chance of showers and thunderstorms, especially in the afternoon. With easterly winds, highs will reach the upper 70s to the mid 80s.
