The National Weather Service in Charleston has issued a FROST ADVISORY for the following counties: Jenkins, Screven, Candler, Bulloch, Allendale and Hampton.
This FROST ADVISORY is in effect from 4a.m. to 8a.m. Monday.
A strong high pressure system will build into the region from the west tonight, resulting in unseasonably cold temperatures across the area.
As skies clear this evening into the overnight hours and winds become light, temperatures will fall into the mid 30s prior to daybreak Monday. These conditions will be favorable for the formation of scattered frost, especially in low lying and other sheltered locations.
The frost is expected to be most prevalent from 4a.m. to 8a.m. Monday morning.
Sensitive outdoor plants may be killed if left uncovered.

Wow, it will be cold tonight. In fact, we are facing record lows. We're going up against the current record low of 42 set back in 1996.
For tonight, high pressure is building in from the west, providing clear skies and north winds. We will drop to lows in the mid to upper 30s for inland areas and the lower to mid 40s closer to the coast.
On Monday, it will stay unseasonably cool. With sunny skies and north winds, we will reach highs in the mid to upper 60s, which is still ten degrees below average for this time of year.
On Monday night, we face record lows again! Under clear skies and light winds, we will once again dip to the 30s and lower 40s.
For the rest of the week, however, it will start to gradually warm back up. On Tuesday, we will see highs in the 70s. Look for a dry forecast for the work week. Over the weekend, rain chances will return.
