A Wind Advisory is in effect for much of the area from 9a.m. to 6p.m. Wednesday.
Strong westerly winds are expected on Wednesday following the passage of a cold front late this evening. West winds are expected to increase to 20 to 30mph by mid morning Wednesday and persist through the afternoon. Gusts as high as 45mph are also possible.
Winds may be even stronger on elevated bridges and overpasses.
Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution, especially on bridges and overpasses.
