It was a chilly and somewhat windy day across the Coastal Empire and Lowcountry. Daffin Park was nearly deserted except for a few bundled up walkers. Many folks were dressed in several layers as they went about their business or headed out for some lunch. Afternoon temperatures were generally 10-15 degrees cooler than normal for this time of year. Winds were sustained above 20 mph for much of the day, and gusts over 35 mph were reported several times at the Savannah-Hilton Head International Airport.
