The snow has ended here in the Coastal Empire and Lowcountry, but there is still a threat of black ice on some roads and bridges.
Motorists should drive with caution, and folks are urged to avoid unnecessary travel this morning.
Once temperatures warm above freezing and clouds begin to clear, conditions will improve and the threat will diminish. It should get above freezing for most locations after 9a.m.

Today, expect to start with mostly cloudy skies. Clouds will clear throughout the day. With brisk northwest winds, it will be a chilly day as highs only reach the lower to mid 40s.
For tonight, we will have clear skies and lighter winds. It will be quite cold as we drop to lows for inland areas in the lower to mid 20s. If you live on the coast, you will see lows in the lower 30s.
On Sunday for Valentine's Day, we will once again see lots of sunshine. It will warm up slightly, but it will stay below average for this time of year. Look for highs to top out in the lower to mid 50s.
